An evening of music where co-creation takes centre stage.
The historic bell tower and St. Saviour’s Church provide the setting for a musical journey featuring countertenor Pieter De Praetere, sound artist and composer Jorrit Tamminga, Mireille Capelle, HERMESensemble for contemporary music, the inclusive city choir stads[K]oor, and DJ Dimitri Andreas.
Centuries-old chants blend with contemporary sounds, electronics, and improvisation, evolving into a unique musical experience in an extraordinary heritage site. The musicians draw particular inspiration from the work of Peter Benoit.
The evening is curated by Diederik Glorieux and is closely connected to his research project, which explores co-creation as a central practice in contemporary music.
Vibrations… is an initiative by Musica H., dedicated to fostering artistic creation. The project is realised in collaboration with CC het SPOOR and the Labo XIX&XX research group at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
